Dinner at the River Side

Peter submitted our paperwork to the US consulate today. We found out at the last minute that we did not need to go the consulate until tomorrow.
Dad did not want to sit in the hotel or go back to the Swan Room, so we ventured out aimlessly on the street for a while. Then Mom asked a couple of local ladies for a fun and cool place. They suggested Tianhe Square. It took the cab 30 minutes to get there. It was a huge 7-floor tall shopping mall! We got some stamps and toys. Unfortunately, Anna started to throw up. We had to buy her an outfit to change her. She threw up several times that day. We thought she may have been eating too much, but by dinner time she was just fine.
Tomorrow would be the last day for several families. So we decided to have a nice dinner together. We had several dinners with some families in different restaurants. But this “last supper" was the best meal we had in Guang Zhou. The restaurant was a riverside barbeque/buffet type place in the White Swan. The food was great, the view was nice and the service was great too. We all had fun but were also sad that we may not ever see each other in person again after tomorrow. This special journey bonded all seven families and we hope we all will keep in touch.
